Ingredients
burgers:
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- salt & pepper
- 4 potato rolls
- 4 thick slices of cheddar cheese
bacon-onion saute:
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1 onion sliced in half and then into ¼ inch rings
special sauce:
- ½ cup mayo
- 1 tbl french dressing
- 1 tsp relish
- 1 tsp diced shallots
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
bacon-onion saute:
-
cook the bacon until crisp and remove to a paper towel
-
cook the onions in the bacon grease until soft, around 10 minutes
-
crumble the bacon and add to the onions
special sauce:
-
mix all the ingredients together and set aside
burgers:
-
preheat a cast iron skillet on high
-
form meat into 4 patties and season with salt & pepper
-
cook on high 3 minutes and turn
-
top with cheddar cheese and cook 3 minutes more
-
spread special sauce on bottom of bun, add the burger and top with the bacon onion saute.

Serve with fries.
