Ingredients
- 2 tbl canola oil
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 3 tbl chili powder
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- salt & pepper
- 1 onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can pinto beans drained and rinsed
- 1 16 oz . jar salsa
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 3 cups shredded jack cheese
- sour cream
- shredded lettuce
- 2 plum tomatoes chopped
- 1 avocado diced
Instructions

preheat oven to 350-degrees

spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with oil

heat canola oil in a skillet

add ground beef, chili powder, cumin, oregano and salt & pepper

brown beef, breaking it up

add the onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes

add the beans, and salsa and stir until thick

lay half the chips on the bottom of the casserole dish

cover with half the meat/bean mixture and then half the cheese
-
add the rest of the chips, topped with the meat/bean mixture and then the rest of the cheese
-
bake until hot and the cheese melts, about 20 minutes

serve with sour cream, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and diced avocado
