greek chicken burgers are the perfect summer grilled dinner
Ingredients
chicken burgers
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon red-pepper flakes
- 1 pound ground chicken
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- ½ european cucumber grated
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic grated
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
burger toppings
- 4 hamburger buns
- ½ red onion sliced
- lettuce leaves
- 1 to mato sliced
Instructions
make the turkey burgers:

in a medium bowl, mix, oregano, red-pepper flakes and ground chicken, season with salt and pepper, and mix until combined.

preheat the grill or skillet.

form the meat mixture into four patties of equal size.

place the burgers on the grill or in the skillet and sear on each side until cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes per side.
make the tzatziki sauce:

in a medium bowl, mix the yogurt with the cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic to combine.

season with salt and pepper.
make the toppings:

place each burger on the bottom half of a bun and then top each with about ¼ cup tzatziki, lettuce leaves, tomato slices and the top half of the bun.

serve immediately.
