Ingredients
- 1 lb penne
- 1 bunch asparagus
- salt & pepper
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg
- zest of 1 lemon
- ¾ cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
-
boil salted water and cook penne
-
melt 1 stick butter in a pan large enough to hold the pasta
-
add the cream and cook until warm
-
3 minutes before the pasta is done add the asparagus to the water
-
add nutmeg, lemon zest and salt & pepper to the sauce
-
drain the pasta and the asparagus
-
add the pasta, asparagus and cheese to the pan and mix together until coated
-
serve with extra cheese
