Ingredients
- 1 lb rigatoni or penne pasta
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbl butter
- 2 tbl olive oil
- 1 small onion , finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic , minced
- ¼ cup vodka
- 1 30 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup locatelli cheese
- 5-10 fresh basil leaves , cut in pieces with a scissor
Instructions

cook pasta in boiling salted water

heat butter and olive oil in a pot

add onion and saute 2-3 minutes until soft

add garlic and saute 1 minute more

add vodka and cook until dissolved

add tomato sauce and salt & pepper and simmer for 20 minutes

add heavy cream and cheese
-
drain pasta and add to sauce and toss to coat

place in a serving bowl and top with basil, passing more cheese
