Ingredients
- 2 pizza doughs divided in ½
- ½ lb ground sausage
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs divided
- 1 tbl chopped parsley
- salt & pepper
- marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions

preheat oven to 450 degree
-
cook sausage, breaking up until browned, 5 minutes

mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, 1 egg, parsley, salt & pepper
-
let sausage cool and drain on a paper towel
-
roll out dough into 4 rounds
-
mix cooled sausage with ricotta
-
place ¼ of the mixture on one half of the pizza dough
-
fold other half of dough over to make a semi-circle
-
seal edges of calzone with a fork
-
place calzones on a parchment lined baking sheet
-
brush each calzone with the beaten egg
-
bake for 20 minutes, turning tray around halfway through
-
serve with marinara sauce
