this spaghetti pie is rich and delicious. serve it with a simple green salad and dinner is ready!
Ingredients
- 12-16 oz spaghetti , cooked
- 2 tbl olive oil
- 1 small onion , diced
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 lb ground beef or meatloaf mix
- 1 cup tomato sauce , divided
- 2 eggs , beaten
- 1 cup , grated parmesan or locatelli cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese , divided
- salt & pepper
Instructions

preheat oven to 400 degrees

in a large skillet, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft, 2-3 minutes

add ground beef or meatloaf mix and brown, breaking up with a wooden spoon

season with salt & pepper

when meat is cooked add ¾ cup of tomato sauce and simmer 10 minutes until thick

mix cooked spaghetti with eggs, parmesan cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup tomato sauce, salt & pepper

oil a pie plate with a little olive oil

spread spaghetti in the pie plate and make a well in the center

put meat sauce in the well leaving a spaghetti crust around the edge

top sauce with remaining mozzarella

bake in oven 20 minutes until brown

let sit 5 minutes and slice into wedges
