quick spaghetti and meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb meatloaf mix
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 4 tbl milk
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 1/3 cup locatelli cheese
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 tbl olive oil
  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 28 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 box spaghetti

Instructions

  1. mix meatloaf mix, egg, bread crumbs, milk, garlic, locatelli cheese, salt & pepper
  2. for meat into meatballs the size of golf balls
  3. heat 2 tbl olive oil in a large skillet
  4. cook meatballs to brown on all sides 6-8 minutes
  5. add tomato paste and cook 2 minutes
  6. add tomato sauce, italian seasoning, oregano, salt & pepper
  7. fill sauce can 1/3 of the way and swirl to loosen tomato residue and add to the pan
  8. cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes until meatballs are cooked through
  9. cook spaghetti in boiling, salted water until done and serve with sauce and meatballs on top
