pasta with meat sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbl olive oil
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbl italian seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt & pepper
  • parmesan cheese
  • pasta

Instructions

  1. saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil until soft
  2. add the tomato paste and cook stirring for 2 minutes
  3. add the meat and cook until browned
  4. add the crushed tomatoes, italian seasoning, bay leaf, salt & pepper and simmer for 30 minutes
  5. serve over pasta topped with parmesan cheese
